Our Mission

The Parent Teacher Student Organization’s mission is to promote activities and programs that benefit our students, teachers, staff AND parents!

We encourage open communication, school spirit, and we’re dedicated to enhancing the education, and school experience, of every child.

Why should I get involved?

Getting involved in your child’s school experience has been proven to have long-lasting, positive effects on both their academic performance and their overall attitude about school.

Many caregivers find that their child or children begin to take school, and their education, more seriously when they see their grownups get involved! Be it helping out in the classroom, chaperoning field trips, or coming to PTSO hosted events, your child(ren) witnessing being an active part of the community genuinely makes a difference.

Volunteering doesn’t have to be a huge time commitment. Whatever your schedule allows, we have need for you! We know that meeting parents and supporters at their comfort level allows for more volunteer opportunities, so sign up for what you can, when you can.

We all wanted to make sure Whispering Wind Academy’s amazing teachers, students and parents continued to get the support they need and deserve!

If you’re interested in just shadowing the team before you jump in, that’s okay too!

Joining the PTSO is a great opportunity to bring fresh ideas, modify programs, and learn what the organization is truly capable of.
